Their individual paths illuminated a stark contrast in wedding planning approaches, sparking a realization that there had to be a better way to orchestrate these monumental occasions.
One sister, fueled by a DIY spirit, meticulously crafted every detail of her wedding, from selecting decor to orchestrating the setup and cleanup, leaving her with little time to savor the moment. In stark contrast, the other sister enlisted the expertise of a planner, freeing herself to bask in the joy of her day while the logistical intricacies were expertly handled.
In reflecting on their contrasting experiences, the sisters discovered a shared passion for the art of wedding and event planning. Loyer Farms has a rich history that stretches back over a century when the Loyer family first settled in Alcona County and established a thriving farm. What began as a humble homestead evolved into a renowned dairy farm by 1970, boasting registered cattle and a legacy of agricultural excellence. Over the next three decades, the farm became not only a source of livelihood but a cherished family hub where seven children and, at the time, 21 grandchildren, reveled in the joys of rural life.

In 1998, our grandparents made the decision to transition away from dairy farming, yet the stewardship of the land persisted, ensuring that Loyer Farms remained an integral part of our family's heritage. Though the days of milking cows have passed, the spirit of tradition and family ingrained in Loyer Farms endures, shaping not only our daily lives but also inspiring our venture into the world of event planning.
